May 13, 2019 -- After dropping out of high school and working her way back to a GED, Karen Abshire-Gordon wasn't sure she was college material. This month, she graduates with a bachelor's in psychology from Wichita State University.

May 10, 2019 -- Wichita State criminal justice senior Rachel Ziska is helping children in the community by interning as a corrections officer for Sedgwick County’s Juvenile Residential Facility.

May 9, 2019 -- Larisa Genin (pronounced JENN-IN), associate dean of the School of Economics and Business Administration at Saint Mary’s College of California, has been named dean of the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University, effective June 17, 2019.

May 2, 2019 -- Wichita State's Multicultural Greek Council held the 10th annual Shock the Yard Step Show, a fun and interactive event for the WSU and local community.

May 1, 2019 -- In January 2010, Wichita state student Opeyemi Ajaiyeoba met fellow student Ifey Ogunyomi at Brennan Hall 3, at the time a campus residence hall. The couple, both from Nigeria, have been dating since – until this spring, when Opeyemi popped the question at the same spot he first met her nine years ago.

April 30, 2019 -- Wichita State alumnus Chris Rempe graduated just seven years ago, but is already making an impact on WSU and local industry.

April 30, 2019 -- Wichita State unveiled a Multicultural Greek Council Quad on campus Friday, April 26. The purpose of the quad is to provide a visible space on campus for WSU's culturally based and National Pan-Hellenic Council Greek chapters.
